5.0 star star star star starI feel like I have 100% of his attention so the appointments are efficient, he clearly communicates what the issues are and what I need to do short and long term - repeating the key things that I need to do so I have no doubts. All my questions have been answered - usually before I even ask them and my treatment has been very effective.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderHis manner was impersonal. He didn't really ask me what I was experiencing, and made a really quick diagnosis. He seemed in a hurry and I felt like I had a trivial problem he didn't have the time for.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderHe was certain that my perception of what was happening, actually wasn't happening after speaking with me for a few minutes. He told me to come back when my ear was unhealthy and maybe then he could help.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderI think he has good knowledge and I learned what to do when he quickly cut/paste instructions onto my summary visit papers. However, he never asked any history or reason I was there. Just looked at my CT scan immediately after he introduced himself. He made assumptions based on the CT scan alone. He didn’t even know how old the scan was. He acted as if I was wasting his time when my internist referred me to an ENT. I asked if a referral to allergist was warranted bc I still needed direct on what to do because I have sinus problems. He agreed but didn’t suggest it first. I was out in less than 5 minutes. Ultimately I got appropriate care but he has to remember there is a person he’s treating - not a CT scan. The rest of the staff was amazing.

Everything that happened post surgery has been spot on from what he told me before surgery regarding my recovery and healing process.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
