5.0 star star star star starRachel is friendly but professional. She is open and available to answer any questions I may have, but she explains and informs so thoroughly that most of my questions were answered without my having to ask them. She made me feel comfortable discussing my health situation. She made it clear what the next steps of my recovery will look like.

5.0 star star star star starRachel is a kind, compassionate provider. As a new patient to urology, she took the time to put me at ease, ask about my medical history and answer all my questions in detail. She thoroughly addressed all my concerns and went above and beyond by also referring me to other colleagues regarding specific concerns I raised about my health. It seems like more and more providers these days are quick to get the patient in and out leaving the patient feeling like the appointment was rushed and un-thorough. I'm pleased that was definitely not the case with Rachel E. Shenfeld, PA-C. I now feel more at ease that she completed a thorough urology exam my outside primary care provider never would have done, despite my voiced concern about my family history, and wanting the exam to insure my good health.

I appreciate her approach_efficient and thorough in addressing my care, yet seamlessly balancing it with a friendly and personal touch. Our visit felt like more than just a clinical visit; it was a conversation with someone truly invested in my well-being.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
