5.0 star star star star starDr. Altimari, is an incredibly knowledgeable surgeon who is caring and compassionate. He listens to his patients and treats them like every patient deserves, with respect and empathy. Elizabeth from his team is also an incredible person who makes sure your input is taken into account when decisions are being made. She made me feel so at ease through this process. Both her and Dr. Altimari were seeing me everyday I was in the hospital making sure my needs were met and my concerns addressed.

5.0 star star star star starAlready stated. It's not the doc's fault but my appointment today was just to ask some very general questions that I feel some of his assistants could have answered with emails. I want to reiterate his is very good. I'm not calling out individuals here or registering a complaint. I'm just indicating my experience with the process.

5.0 star star star star starHe is one of the best surgeon and he has a wonderful personality that made my journey so much better than I thought it would be. I can't imagine what I would've had done without his amazing talent and dedication to his patients. He is simply the best. Thank you sir for taking care of me.

5.0 star star star star starI've known Dr Altimari from working at CDH years ago before retiring. Now that I'm in the other side needing surgery I found him to be kind, attentive making me comfortable with our decision for surgery.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Altimari was highly recommended by Dr. Pakeratis and other NMM staff. For this first visit he was everything I had been told; happy, informative, confident in his consult recommendations, and willing to help in any way he could. OUTSTANDING.

5.0 star star star star starI had severe issues with an arthritis flare up and spent 2 weeks in sheer pain (10/10) because no one was available to follow up with me. He had a health issue and was unavailable. Unfortunately, his staff ignored my pleas for help. Perhaps if the flare-up was handled immediately instead of 2 weeks later, it would be healing sooner. I am still in significant pain.

5.0 star star star star starExcellent patient/doctor connection. However had major problems after first surgery which required second abdominal surgery to fix the first but never received any explanation from surgeon other than "it happens."

5.0 star star star star starHe is a wonderful surgeon and human being. Nobody usually "wants" to have surgery, me included. It's frightening. You want a surgeon who you trust and have confidence in their skills and ability to fix your problem. That's #1. But you also want to feel truly cared about. That he wants to "fix" you, but also to heal you, and for you to feel cared for. Dr. Altimari is that surgeon.

5.0 star star star star starA ten is not good enough for Doctor Altimari, unbelievably a wonderful doctor who has the knowledge and understanding of a patient needs. His ability to make a patient feel completely comfortable going through a procedure and knowing you are in good hands is second nature for him. He truly is an amazing human being. Can't imagine going to any other surgeon.
