5.0 star star star star starHe is very thorough, and I can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. I am a very anxious person on medical visits, and I really appreciate his efforts to put me at ease with his humor and his kind demeanor.

5.0 star star star star starDr Koo is very able and very attentive to a patients problems, which is why my three sons in Chicago see him, as do a couple of my grandsons,I believe. And my fourth son, a Northwestern Medical educated internist in Baltimore, who has had communications with Dr Koo, has great respect for him too. He is, in my opinion, just what a good primary care doctor should be

5.0 star star star star starHe's the best. Very responsive and empathetic. I like that he makes my care a conversation instead of an 'order'. I feel that I have a say in what occurs next. He's smart, has actual bedside manner and spends a lot of time listening.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Koo is awesome! Personable yet professional, remembers small details, talks through information and asks me questions about my health that go deeper than the numbers. I appreciate his follow-up and his communication through the NM app when necessary too!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Koo is knowledgeable, sensitive, informative and I’m always confident in receiving expert medical care with him. The Staff is great, too. Dr. Koo is a excellent doctor! He’s very understanding and listens to my concerns. He takes time with me to understand my health issues! He always gives me advise and how to support my health issues/concerns. I was pre-diabetic for awhile. Dr. Koo gave me some suggestions on ways to help me and I took his advise and now I’m not pre-diabetic anymore. I appreciate his time and support to discuss my heath and what I can do to make it better.

5.0 star star star star starFron the moment Dr. Koo took me as a patient (from my long time Dr. Jeffrey Kopin) I never ever make any decision about my health without contacting and discussing with Dr. Koo, Not only has he taken excellent care of me…but my Son, my Godson, a number of my friends I have sent to him…..Dr. Koo is the one Doctor I interact with whenever or whatever ailment or pains I have, I contact him first. As my Son and I often talk about him and the Excellent Doctor and Person he is..

5.0 star star star star starHe was warm, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. He guides me through the whole process and I didn’t feel like I was being judged or criticized. He understands the impact different diseases have on African Americans. That was very reassuring.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
