Dr. Armbrust’s clinical interests include preventive medicine, obesity medicine and maximizing his patients’ healthspan. He works closely with patients to create personalized healthcare plans built on a foundation of trust and evidence-based practice. He is certified as a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, reflecting his advanced expertise in this field. Since joining Northwestern Medicine Executive Health in late 2025, Dr. Armbrust has delivered a concierge-style care experience centered on prevention, performance and sustainable health outcomes. He shares, “I love working in Executive Health because I have the opportunity to do meaningful work alongside colleagues who care deeply about each other and the people we serve.” Outside of the office, Dr. Armbrust is a devoted family man who values quality time with his wife and children. Jake's fantastic. He clearly cares deeply about understanding the needs and goals of his patients and invests in their health and wellbeing for the long-term. Jake also knows how to communicate as he connects what's important in the medical context with why it's important to me and my future. 10/10, most personalized and competent care I've ever received.
