5.0 star star star star starI've been a patient of Dr. Ring's for many years. She is kind, down to earth, and without equal when it comes to menopause-related issues, among other holistic health matters. She is highly competent, yet comes across as a caring friend - albeit professionally, of course. She stays current on research and is able to apply her knowledge and experience to each patient's specific situation. There is never a whiff of condescension in her communication style, which can be a drawback with certain physicians of her stature, she just lays out her diagnosis/patient plan from a place of compassion. It's no wonder she is in such high demand.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Ring is an incredible doctor and care giver. She has a depth of knowledge and curiosity that gives me great confidence as a patient. She always listens, she sends in depth information and sources about my questions and she's extremely thorough in her investigation. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to work with Dr. Ring on a regular basis. I only wish that many of my friends and colleagues outside of Chicago could have the opportunity to work with such an incredible professional and practitioner.

5.0 star star star star starI have referred Melinda to several of my friends who want a more integrative approach to their health care. She is fantastic! I wish Northwestern Medicine would hire more integrative doctors. I'm not opposed to medicine but I don't constantly need prescribed medicines for everything. I like having an alternative.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
