Dr Wolinsky responded immediately after I contacted him regarding my rate diagnosis. He set up a consultation within the week and his knowledge and devotion to his patients were evident straightaway. His staff arranged my surgery and everything has been communicated swiftly and with an ease I’ve not experienced at KU in Kansas City!

Demeanor. Knowledge. Willingness to thoroughly explain my condition, possible outcomes and next steps. He was careful and willing to take the time to thoroughly review my scans and check for understanding. The visit was the perfect balance of medical and personal conversations. Plus, really cool shoes.

Great listener, very patient. Took great care to show and explain the MRI results. Great advice and plan for least invasive steps first to identify the problem. He was polite and truthful with the potential odds.

Dr. Wolinsky and his staff exceeded my expectations with the level of care and compassion they provided. They answered all of my questions and provided a very clear treatment plan prior to surgery. The surgery went better than I expected and I am now six weeks into recovery and I feel great. I cannot thank them enough for the care that they have provided me.

I have already shared my positive experience and my trust and confidence in his medical experience, skill and knowledge with others on numerous occasions and I have already recommended him to an acquaintance based on my experience with him. In my opinion, he is the best of the best and he has surrounded himself with an amazing staff.

After struggling with back and leg pain for months, an MRI revealed a melanocytic schwannoma tumor. Its size and placement on the S1 nerve meant that the surgeons in my plan were not comfortable operating and referred me to a research hospital. That’s how I came across Dr. Wolinsky at the Center of Spine Heath, Northwestern Memorial Hospital. At the very first appointment that I had with Dr. Wolinsky, he took time to answer all my questions and had a plan for my surgery, which he scheduled as early as he could. The surgery was a success, and Dr. Wolinsky, Dr. Najib El Tecle, and the whole team of doctors and nurses were very attentive and caring during my recovery. I am very grateful for all the care and professionalism that I had had during my recovery. Thank you to Dr. Wolinsky and his team for everything that they did to help me.

Dr Wolinsky was very knowledgeable and showed great compassion during my phone visit. He took the time to gather information from me, shared his evaluation, gave his recommendation and answered all of my questions. He never made me feel rushed and explained things in a manner that was easy to understand. He identified and explained information about my condition that had not been shared by other surgeons previously.

Dr. Wolinsky was very straightforward with everything that I would be going through after my surgery and even after my surgery he still worked at helping me understand what my body is doing without getting frustrated or angry at me.

Dr Wolinsky is very knowledgeable and knows how to explain your medical condition giving you options and all the information so that you can make an informed decision. My surgery went just as he explained so there were no surprises and I am 1,000% better than when I came in. I have never met a doctor with a better bedside manner I would recommend Dr Wolinski to anyone.

Wish he would have put my MRI up so I could see it. He was very nice. The fello did a thorough exam. I am not sure why the nurse said I needed to see a surgeon? At this time I am not a surgical candidate.

Dr. Wolinsky is an incredible doctor. His precision, neurosurgical expertise and bedside manor are second to none. I am honored to have him guiding me through my bone and breast cancer. The cervical spine surgery he performed in March 2020 have saved my life. Please, honor this wonderful man whenever you can, Northwestern Administration. I beg you to do whatever is needed to keep him on your staff at hospital.

My first visit with Dr. Wolinsky was on Monday, 6/21/21. I spoke of my concerns and Dr. Wolinsky heard me and listened to me. I'm confident that all will be well. Everyone that I had contact with in suite 1450 was a grade of 10. After my MRI appointment I have another appointment with Dr. Wolinsky to discuss the MRI results.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
