5.0 star star star star starShauna is AMAZING. She is equally personable and professional and connects with patients on a human level. She made a process that can be physically demanding as much as emotionally overwhelming feel manageable. From consultation to the review post my fourth round, I felt supported and seen. She is the best!

5.0 star star star star starIncredible provider. Very calming presence. We were fortunate to have good news for each of our encounters, but I suspect that she would be a very caring person if things were not going as planned. She is one of the main reasons (along with the embryology lab) that I would still chose northwestern after this terrible process.

5.0 star star star star starShauna is truly exceptional as a care provider. She listens with empathy, addresses every question thoroughly, and shares medical information without judgement. She is a model for practitioners who treat infertility. Going through fertility treatments is such an emotional and physically demanding journey. Having people like Shauna as a trusted medical professional I can count on has made a world of difference. I hope she is recognized for her excellence and character. This practice is so lucky to have her.

5.0 star star star star starI was going to call in a review of Shauna but how timely that this survey was sent to me! Shauna is a treasure to your establishment and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves. I work as a PA and I know how it can really throw off your schedule when even one person comes in late. I was scheduled to be 30 min early but my gps took me out of the way and before I realized it, it was too late and I ended up being 20 minutes late to my appointment. I was completely embarrassed, because I know what position that puts her and her whole team in. I drove 2 hours for my appointment and she never hesitated about squeezing me in, even if it did throw her whole day off. When she saw how upset I was about to the whole situation, she took extra time (extra time she probably didn't have) to comfort me and get to know me and my story. She showed so much compassion and empathy and truly made me feel like I was among family/longtime friend. I can't say enough good about how she treated me and I really do hope she sees this and her direct supervisor as well, because they need to know what treasure they have!

5.0 star star star star starSee above. Totally the best. Okay, she met me where I am with my knowledge and interest in the intricacies of fertility preservation, clearly communicated the ethical decisions behind your practices, and was so excited about her work it made me excited too

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
