5.0 star star star star starInvested in making sure I was on the right track to get better, and that every test I needed was completed for a proper assessment. Also never brushed off any concerns I had and ensured that I got the proper answer on everything. Very detail oriented.

5.0 star star star star starJoy was wonderful! She is very kind and very thorough. She asked me several questions and took the time to answer several of my questions. She spent a good amount of time with me. She even checked with my primary care physician regarding one of my questions and sent me a message through MyChart later that afternoon with the answer.

5.0 star star star star starI Joy was comprehensive in her examination. and she also recommended alternative treatment strategies. She also took time to explain my condition. Doctor Joy also placed an immediate order for an x-ray before I left the building that day.

5.0 star star star star starI was extremely hesitant about seeing a PA for what may be a serious issue. But, my appointment with my PCP isn't until September and I thought it best to begin the conversation and see if anything may have surfaced as obvious. Joy Li was detailed and had a long conversation with me regarding my history and my options. I didn't feel as if I was getting patted on the head and sent on my way. She didn't have all the answers, nor did she pretend to. She listened, made what I believed to be sound recommendations, all of which I will follow through on, and gave me the sense that she was concerned about finding the right answer. I, quite frankly, wouldn't have any problem considering Joy Li for my PCP just to stay with NWM. But then we get back to the ridiculous delay in seeing a Northwestern physician.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
