5.0 star star star star starCouldn't have been a better choice for me, someone who had been traumatized by earlier gynecological care/surgery. She led the way for me to make an informed, "just-right" decision and then carried through with her excellent care. For me it was a healing of not only the physical but also the emotional experience. Her confidence was inspiring and reassuring.

5.0 star star star star starMy visit at NW Gynecologic Oncology was one of many new doctor's appointments before upcoming surgery. I was happy to meet Dr Barber, who was friendly and upbeat, explaining her part in my surgery. She seemed very experienced in my condition, while reassuring me that her team would take good care of me.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Barber is phenomenal. Not only is she a leading expert in her field, she is also incredibly empathetic, engaged, and genuinely concerned about her patients' health and wellbeing. She takes her time, listens closely, and goes above and beyond _ she even obtained all of my prior records and had a past biopsy re-evaluated for additional factors. I honestly can't say enough good things about her. I'm so grateful to be under her care

5.0 star star star star starI believe that Dr. Barber saved my life. My surgery was cutting edge and I had no pain afterward. I had six chemotherapies over 18 weeks. Dr. Barber was there every step of the way, going over my labs and discussing my progress. I would refer her to anyone looking for excellence in a surgeon.

5.0 star star star star starI would recommend Dr. Barber to anyone who needed the type of care that she provides. I am so thankful to be in her, and her team's care. I also love the fact that her surgery is cutting-edge. After my hysterectomy, I did not even need to take a Tylenol!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
