5.0 star star star star starThe physician is very thorough and patient in explaining what he recommends for my husband. He reviews the test results and comments provided by all the pulmonologist and the ENT physicians and gives us reasons for his treatment plans.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Shetty is a superb Neurologist. I saw him most recently for my PD to review my recent Brain MRI. This past yr I've notice cognitive difficulties affecting my life. I try to cover it but it's time-consuming and frustrating to act like everything is fine. It's subtle changes and I raised the matter. He was kind and supportive. We discussed cognitive testing and a referral for a vascular neurologist as I believe it's related to the Microvascular Ischemic Disease. I have many "brain" issues and it's incredibly frustrating. I've always had a "bad brain" and it's only gotten worse, exacerbated by errors. I know I'm a challenging patient so I give Dr. Shetty credit for his patience and tolerance. I'm aware. When one has so many brain "issues" you can can "aware" but can't always control it. I feel I have to explain and defend myself often and then apologize. I'm sorry I'm this way. I'm sorry it's more difficult for others. I'm me. I live with it 24/7. Others get to leave_I live with it and it affects my SLEEP so I never get respite. The REM Sleep Behavior Disorder has wreaked havoc with my life. So few people have had it their entire lives that people don't know what it's like. Doctors don't have a clue. It's clinical to them. No offense meant. My brain never gets a break. I was aware of it at the age of 5. No one listens to children. To deal with my "restless" sleep and falling out of bed? A desk was push up against the bed to partially block it. See a doctor? Nah! Sorry. TMI.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Shetty is knowledgeable, professional and personable. He is my neurologist for Parkinson's. He is thorough in his examination, responsive to my questions and concerns, clear in his answers and he explains why he suggests my courses for treatment. Great doctor.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
