5.0 star star star star starUnlike other doctor who offer no reason why I might be having these symptoms Dr. Shetty actually reviewed my meds and knew that one of them caused side effects that mimic Parkinson’s. I thought I definitely had PD and now it’s entirely possible that a medicine prescribe for nausea has wreaked havoc with my body. He is the ONLY person to raise this issue. This is huge!

5.0 star star star star starHe is confident and for the same reasons listed above. He individualizes the patient care and takes the necessary time, which we truly appreciated, and needed to make us feel as though we are getting the help we really need to improve our daily life.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Shetty is personable, knowledgeable and a good communicator. He took time to evaluate me and thoroughly cover all relevant topics. He never rushed and I never felt rushed or that he needed to complete our visit. Most importantly the entire visit was with Dr. Shetty personally, not an intern or resident who then passed on the information.

5.0 star star star star starIn every way, Dr. Shetty is a truly great physician. He listens very carefully to all our concerns and asks insightful questions to make sure he understands the full extent of the problems. He has given us solutions to these problems through changes in medications and dosages that really worked to make our lives better. We have had several specialists in our journey with Parkinson's Disease, and Dr. Shetty is the most knowledgeable and most caring we have ever had.

5.0 star star star star starHe is very thorough and covered a-lot of information in a very reflective conversation. He really listened to me, my concerns and I feel like we are partnering together in my care. He was professional and compassionate, while being very open, direct and honest. I appreciated the next steps and all the due diligence we will be conducting. I trust his insight, knowledge and, most of all, his communication and patience.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
