5.0 star star star star starI met Dr. Martin for over 30 years now. He was my mother’s doctor. He was extraordinary taking care of her and now me. He is very caring and understanding, throughout the years he has taking care of my health issues. At present I have some nerve issues in my leg. 5.0 star star star star starHe worked me into his day, so I expected about 20 minutes of his time - like a consult. Instead, it was twice that kind! He was thorough, kind, explained many things as we went along. It was fascinating as well as productive - I even learned about the origins of the My Chart system! He recommended several tests, and he will call me and explain the results.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Martin was wonderful. While he is not my primary physician, it was obvious that he took the time to review my chart before my visit. He listened to my concerns with care, addressed all of my questions and together we came up with a great plan to move forward. I am very grateful for his excellent care.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
