At Northwestern Medicine, our patient’s feedback is important to us. While different care providers have their own unique strengths, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our quality of care.
what I really appreciated about Dr. Ganju was that she knew my husband and I are retired medical people and she made a point of explaining everything to us as if we weren't and this is absolutely the best way to treat us. Nerves, etc. seem to shut down our brains at medical appointments and Dr Ganju was very smart in not taking short cuts in her explanations.
My sister and I were both astounded at the superior bed side manner of the doctor. She was kind, concerned and took time to make sure I understood what was going on with my back. Her knowledge, confidence and love of what she does is obvious. Having a personality that made us comfortable and actually happy to be there was a plus. The nurse exuded the same sort of qualities. He was amazing.
I could tell the provider was frustrated and impatient with my concern with my problem. I understand there may not be a solution, but I felt a lack of empathy and regarded my concerns as trivial. I definitely felt I was reduced to a patient group rather than an individual.
