5.0 star star star star starCNP Heffernan was thorough, kind, and genuinely took the time necessary to talk through my health. She was deeply knowledgeable in creating a care plan and next steps, and I walked away feeling I received the care I had hoped to receive. I would easily recommend her to anyone seeking internal med/primary care.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Heffernan was efficient quick, she was helpful and proactive. She thought ahead to see when a follow up appointment was needed and this reduced the burden on me of scheduling everything. She has great bedside manner and explained everything she was doing and if she was concerned about anything.

5.0 star star star star starWhen told her my health history & fears, she didn't judge me. And when I cried, she asked me if it was okay if she rubbed my arm and she gave me tissues. She was not only knowledgeable, but she was also compassionate. We need more like her in healthcare. Thank you Janice. I'm really glad I was able to see you today!

5.0 star star star star starMy visit with APN Janice Heffernan for an annual Medicare wellness check was great. She was early to our appt, went over all my questions and gave thoughtful answers and advice, performed the required checklist quickly, and was very friendly and patient throughout. She was very knowledgeable about a current health issue I have been dealing with which was helpful.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
