5.0 star star star star starI can't say enough good about Patrick. Not only is he completely knowledgeable about the muscles and nerves in the body and about the McKenzie technique, but his approach, manner, and style is precisely what it needs to be. I tend to get ahead of myself and try to do things I shouldn't and Patrick is very clear and firm, but in such a nice way that I totally believe and have confidence in him, when he says 'no." I started with one exercise because I was in serious spasm mode, but today, only 6-7 sessions later, I have 3 pages worth, and I am doing them religiously. Plus, it's helping my body be even better and stronger than when this all started. Patrick is not only brilliant at what he does, but he's so personable, friendly, and relaxed through it all. And he has time for people, which is exceptional. (I know when I'm stressed, I don't typically act as if I have time for people.)

5.0 star star star star starPatrick Neilsen is the best Physical therapist I have ever been treated by. He is kind and attentive and meets you where you are at. When I started PT I could barely sit still and couldn’t sleep I was in so much pain. With Patrick’s care I slowly found my way back to normalcy and now am feeling stronger than I have in nearly a year. I cannot thank him enough for helping me recover from my herniated disc and avoid needing surgery.

5.0 star star star star starPatrick is very thorough in his evaluation and is very focused on improving your strength and mobility. He is very concerned with making sure you are performing the recommended exercises correctly and is attuned to gradually increasing the strength and duration of those exercises. He is very good about soliciting your feedback and answers all your questions. He compassionately cares about you.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
