5.0 star star star star starDr. Buffington is the most kind, patient, informative and friendly Dr. He makes you feel as if you're having a conversation with a friend or colleague. Absolutely love his demeanor! Wish all doctors could act like him.

5.0 star star star star starHe takes his time. He answered all my questions. He makes eye contact and makes me feel that everything is going to be okay. It just takes time. He told me I was doing great for 13 days after surgery. I didn't do anything...he did the surgery :)

5.0 star star star star starHe was friendly. Spent time explaining everything to my husband and me. He answered all my questions once again. And assured me I would be fine but also explained what to expect after surgery. And after the surgery he met with my husband in the waiting room and even showed him photos of my bionic ankle.

5.0 star star star star starI would highly rate Dr. Buffington. I have been through several surgeries before meeting him, and he has been very detailed and very personable. He has helped me when other doctors didn't know quite how to address and fix the issues I had. I have the highest respect for him and will continue to have him for my doctor.

5.0 star star star star starFor the 1st time, a podiatrist accepted that I drive a manual transmission and he added a second small boot that fits my clutch. In the past they assumed I had someone to drive me around for weeks.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
