5.0 star star star star starDr Lukas seemed distracted and preoccupied during the phone appointment today where as he is normally interested in my care. His assisting physician, who asked about my care prior to me speaking to Dr Lukas, was far more interested. Dr. Lukas seemed a bit off today.

5.0 star star star star starAt a moment when we were at a loss for what to do with my husband's diagnosis of brain tumors, Dr. Lukas saw us right away, mapped a plan for treatment, explained options and took firm hold of the situation with regard to the make up of the team and his plan for going forward. We are incredibly grateful.

4.0 star star star star star_borderI gav Dr. Lukas a 7 score because I feel as though he could benefit from receiving training or more training on his bed side manner. I feel he is more technical than personable. He could use some training in women’s health, empathy as well as sympathy training.

5.0 star star star star starDr Lukas is fully aware of my health concerns and history. He has a knack for asking questions to dive deeper into issues I may be experiencing and answering questions I have in a way I can easily understand. I also appreciate his expertise and his reputation within the brain tumor community.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
