5.0 star star star star starShe explained my treatment plan thoroughly. I had a whole sheet with graphs and statistics. I walked out of her office with all my questions answered and I felt confident that I selected an experienced and expert oncologist. Such a new diagnosis for me not very much time to shop or second opinions. However, from the beginning of my appointment, she got into the process of how my cancer grew and how to attack it.

5.0 star star star star starI love the fact that she's very attentive to my needs. She listens and doesn't talk over me, but talks to me. She made my journey very peaceful and knowledgeable. She shows that she cares and makes you feel that you matter.

5.0 star star star star starDr Ahn presented options with the truth around expected outcomes and risks and answered my questions in terminology I could understand. She didn't judge the personal decisions I made regarding my situation. The work Dr. Ahn performed achieved successful results.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Ahn is a powerhouse of knowledge and has an excellent bedside manner. I felt so secure in her care. She is simply a wonderful surgeon and I'm thankful she was able to walk with me through my breast cancer.

5.0 star star star star starSame as above. She seems like she knows everything possible about breast cancer. She just lacks a bedside manner and any kind of empathy. She tells you like it is that's it. You cannot interrupt or she gives you these big eyes like she wants you to be quiet. I don't like that about her at all. She kind of scares you. She makes you not wanna talk. But I would rather have the expertise in healing my cancer than someone who could be talkative, nice and sweet and be a lousy surgeon.

5.0 star star star star starI felt like she had my best interest at heart when she pushed to get my surgery scheduled sooner rather than later. She has excellent credentials and reviews, and lived up to all my expectations!

5.0 star star star star starShe took the time to listen to my history, review the records, examine me, and meet me and my husband in a conference room to review the results and formulate a plan of care without us feeling rushed or overwhelmed. She allowed time for questions.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
