He gave a clear opinion and explained reasons. Surgery was recommended by another provider and he told me why he did not think it would help and recommended other ways to manage my issues. I haven't had my surgery yet, or completed the process of recovery. But his explanations were very clear and helpful. I'm not excited about this medical approach, but I don't think there is another option. He was very clear in explaining what could be the concern, if I were to elect to not have surgery. I appreciate the clarity.

The first time I met Dr. Patel at my first appointment I was totally impressed. He truly wanted to help me figure out what I needed to do with sincere concern. When surgery was finally scheduled, Dr. Patel took the time to thoroughly explain every detail of the procedure _ what to expect, potential risks, and how recovery would look. Overall, Dr. Patel is a great physician. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel to anyone with foot / ankle issues.

Dr. Patel diagnosed my problem, discussed it with me looking at imaging, and spent time talking with me about how to reduce my pain and what movements are safe and which ones will irritate it. He explained the mechanical reasons why my tendon is inflamed, in ways that I understood perfectly. He advised physical therapy, and gave me a script for it. I feel well cared for!
