5.0 star star star star starI currently receive the best care medically available with my primary care physician, Dr. Nicolas. I would never even contemplate even an opinion elsewhere. Dr. Nicolas takes extreme care, discusses all my medication and does the most thorough exam in the most professional manner. A gentleman and one of my most respected professionals I could hope to have met and receive such constant excellent care from.

5.0 star star star star starFor the reasons stated above: My primary care physician, John D. Nicolas, MD spent more time with me, during my recent annual physical examination, than *any* doctor has in memory. Not just time, but quality time - getting familiar with my and my immediate family's health history, noting important/related facts and observations and asking pertinent questions - before doing a comprehensive and thorough examination. Upon exit, he even walked me to the lab for lab work - a thoughtful gesture. I walked out feeling seen, heard and assisted - a rarity in my experience. John D. Nicolas, MD has a calm, nurturing personality and made me feel comfortable to share and ask questions that were on my mind. I would recommend John D. Nicolas, MD as a primary care physician/internal medicine doctor for care to anyone.

5.0 star star star star starI have had several physicians before coming to Dr. Nicolas and I had never received from any of them the kindness and care that I receive from Dr. Nicolas. It is becoming more and more rare to find a physician who genuinely seems to care about their patients overall health.

5.0 star star star star starMy experience with John D. Nicolas, MD was fantastic! This was the first time I've ever had an annual visit that was so thorough. Dr. Nicolas made sure to walk through my chart and follow up on everything that needed it and he made sure to address all four concerns that I had about various parts of my health. I've never felt more seen or heard in a doctor's appointment. Would absolutely recommend!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
