5.0 star star star star starHe had a caring way about him. He listened to and answered all of my questions. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease. And he was very reassuring. I'm glad to have them on my health care team.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Farooq provided a list of multiple ways to help me with my medical situation. He guided me through the ones that might be the best for me. He didn't force me into a decision. Rather he gave me the time I needed to think through the possibilities and make my decision.

5.0 star star star star starI had not met Dr. Farooq before and was apprehensive about the procedure I was about to have. I asked to meet Dr Farooq before being prepped for the procedure. Despite later learning of his very busy schedule, he took the time to meet with me and answer my concerns. I would give Dr. Farooq an A plus.

5.0 star star star star starI specifically left a competitor of NM urology to join NM urology at Dr. Farooq's location. I'm very impressed by his work (knowledge of your craft is a must, bottom line). Gor the first time, I read dr. Farooq's mission statement that sits in the waiting room. All I could think was, he means what he says. His actions have proven that with each encounter I have had. Even the one I had in the ED before I was officially his patient. He dies a great job explaining options clearly so I was able to make an educated informed decision based off my exact needs and unique health situation. Every patient has their own unique health situation and it's nice to see that Dr Farooq sees individuals as just that, individuals. I do and have felt like he personally cares and understands that as patients, these decisions affect our everyday quality of life. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience.

5.0 star star star star starFollow-up consult for an MRI and to review performance of recently prescribed medication. Dr. Farooq asked questions to evaluate how my medication was working. We discussed side effects and discussed options with a plan going forward. Very productive visit.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
