5.0 star star star star starDr. Bonow cares about his patients. Dr. Bonow also instructs/works/collaborates with more junior Physicians. Dr. Hughes is currently working, with Dr. Bonow. Dr. Hughes is awesome. He remembers his patients and their history, which is commendable in this busy world. Dr. Hughes listens to his patients, comes up with care plan, institutes it, and then evaluates the results. He also cares about his patients.

5.0 star star star star starHe's next level. Takes all the time to listen and explain everything. He will listen to concerns, He will answer those concerns as well. Time doesn't matter, he will stay and listen and suggest things until I am satisfied with explanation and I have no more questions or concerns.

5.0 star star star star starDr Bonow is an outstanding physician. He takes a thorough history, listens, asks key questions, and performs a detailed physical examination. He reviews the findings and tests and tells you his evaluation in detail: what is going on, why, and how to reduce risks and what he is thinking about to evaluate and treat the problem. And explains the potential risks and need for additional tests and followup. He is an expert on valve disease. His experience and expertise with patient care, knowledge of the literature and understanding of the nuances of various findings and tests is exactly what I need. He has great insight into both cardiology and patients, and is kind, compassionate, and thorough.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
