5.0 star star star star starI have been seeing Dr. Paparello ever since my transplant in 2005, and now he also sees my children. We love him. He is excellent and always ready to answer all our concerns. He is very thorough.

5.0 star star star star starAfter having one kidney removed that was cancerous, and the remaining one with a lower GFR score and other issues, Dr. Paparello took his time going over my prognosis short and long term, possible treatment options, lifestyle and eating changes. He had reviewed my medical and surgical chart from other non-NW providers and really knew my situation and how to best handle it moving forward. Can't say enough good things about him.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Paparello is an excellent physician - he is a very skilled professional who takes the time to explain a situation thoroughly and leaves no question unanswered. He enters all important information in the computer and prints out a copy for the patient to take home so they can review your instructions on what needs to be done to maintain your best health.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Paparello is extremely knowledgable and up-to-date in his information. Beyond that, he is very personable; he listens, asks if I have questions, and hands me a cogent summary of the visit and instructions.

5.0 star star star star starHe is the leader of my treatment team. My comments above reflect his approach to patient care. He got me involved in a blood pressure monitoring program. His encouragement with emails showing he was engaged in my care encouraged me to reduce my BP to historically low levels.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
