5.0 star star star star starDr. Patil set up an early office appointment to explain the procedure fully. When I initially met him in the hospital after an ER admission for SVT (HR)172 he suggested taking me to the EP lab the next day. I needed more time and information to make a decision. He was willing to do that. Dr. Patil was a new EP doctor for me. My former doc, [full name], is at Glenbrook and was out on surgical leave. With the emergency nature I went to nearest ER at NW for care.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Patil is the best doctor for me at this point of everything that I have gone through with my heart surgery, and wondering about next steps in regard to the electrical circuitry of the heart and how it operates.

5.0 star star star star starThis was the first time I had an exam by Dr. Kaustubha and he explained about the different types of Cardiologist. During his exam he noticed one of the prescriptions I was taking likely creating a health problem His recommendation was to stop taking the medication which was also apparently approved by my Northwestern Medical Primary Physician.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
