Very personable, professional, and intelligent. He did a great job explain medication options and making me highest priority and giving me the option to choose and there to support and has been very helpful with answering questions and has made it a very smooth transition into my first adult doctor. He has been very welcoming.

Dr. Boutte explained my past diagnosis which I didn't understand nor know what to do next to treat my symptoms. He listens and he took time to explain everything step by step. Which was very informative. This visit was so much-needed that I am so relieved for all the helpful advices and plans. I can't thank him enough, I already know that I am in good hands.

Dr. Boutte is one of the most caring physicians I have met. He took time to explain things to me that I had never heard or understood before related to my condition. I can not say enough positive things about him, and have already recommended him to friends.

I came to NM after 7 grueling years at UC Med. Dr. Boutte is like a breath of fresh air. He was attentive, made me feel welcome and comfortable and had full knowledge of my medical history. I walked away confident that maybe I don't have to settle just waiting around for the next Small bowel Obstruction.

Dr. Boutte is the absolute best at explaining the cause of my symptoms and my options in terms that I understand. He includes me in decisions about my care and takes as much time as necessary to answer all of my questions. Cannot recommend Dr. Boutte enough!

If I could give a higher score I would. He took the time to show me what his plans were, answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable with the oath forward before the appointment was over.

Dr. Boutte listens and then advises. He is personable and provides all the details I need. He made sure I understood where we are today, where we’ll be in a year and where I’ll be down the road in a few years with my plan.

Dr. Boutte has been excellent, as of my transfer to him in March of 2021. In the 7 months I've been seeing him, he has been incredibly proactive in seeking a treatment that will alleviate my symptoms. He has been very quick to respond to my messages and responding to my portal questions. I feel like I'm in much better hands with Dr. Butte than I was with Dr. Yun. His ability to create good repor with patients quickly, and his ability to make eye contact with his patients, along with his continued research concerning what my issue might be. Even once I was seen by somebody at Mayo, I would have those records sent to Dr. Butte, and intend to continue with him as my primary gastrointestinal doctor.

Both knowledgable and empathetic. Listens to me and answers my questions in our visit or in the MyChart messages. Takes into consideration my opinion on my care as the patient as shown by allowing me to research several biologics and decide on one myself with his input before our visit discussing that, or when I am struggling with the oral steriod side effects allowed me to go down a little as long as I'm honest about if my symptoms worsen. Great doctor!

Dr. Boutte is the very first gastroenterologist I’ve ever seen who actually truly listened to me— to my history as I told it, to my present symptoms and all their intricacies and to my own ideas, even, as he takes them into consideration when creating a plan of care for me. I’ve never had such a highly trained & skilled professional actually allow me to be a collaborator in my own healing (sadly) and finally, Dr. Boutte has. I am very grateful.

Dr. Boutte is proactive and makes me feel heard. He and the nurses are all very responsive and helpful. I've been to several GI's before going to northwestern and within less than a year, my Crohn's is in remission for the first time since diagnosis. I'm very grateful.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
