5.0 star star star star starDr. Catalona has vast experience in the area of prostate cancer--the reason I began as his patient about 17 years ago. He knows I am an anxious patient and he has gone out of his way to provide reassurance to me when it is warranted. I would recommend Dr. Catalona to anyone.

5.0 star star star star starHis excellence is everything one would want in a physiican/surgeon. He cares, he researches, he communicates well, he's informative, always answers my questions well, he's sincere. And his contributions to the field and his patients are as good as it gets. I have recommended him whenever the chance comes up.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Catalona has been my doctor for several years now. He diagnosed my medical issue when the local doctors in my home state could not pinpoint it. He is so knowledgeable in urinary issues, as well as a caring person. He explains everything very well, and when test results come back from the lab or imaging, he is very prompt on his comments so I can better understand the results.

5.0 star star star star starI think that every one of Dr. Catalina’s patients ends up recommending him to a person diagnosed with prostate cancer. I’ve done it a few times already, both to relatives and friends. He is an extremely dedicated physician. I’m grateful that he was able to take me on as a patient. It’s a pleasure to donate to his research foundation.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
