5.0 star star star star starDr. Yen took a detailed history of my disease, spent a lot of time discussing treatment and follow up care. He listened thoroughly and answered and/or addressed all of my concerns. Looking forward to him being my point person for this area. I feel like I am in good hands.

5.0 star star star star starDr Yen is so knowledgeable in the area of Crohn's disease (my issue) as well of course in other GI areas. He is so approachable, friendly, bright and highly skilled. He is an outstanding physician - I followed him from the practice he was at before Northwestern. He is a gem.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Yen was very understanding of my issues I have been dealing with. He listened to me and made me feel heard. When he explained his answers to what could help me he made me feel like I was finally going to have some relief from what I was dealing with. Took time to answer my questions and concerns and made me feel at ease for what he recommended. I left his exam room and felt so much better knowing he might have a solution to my issues.

4.0 star star star star star_borderThis is my first time seeing this doctor, so I can't say anything concrete about him yet. He performed my last colonoscopy. I trust him. Northwester are the best. They have excellent specialists.

5.0 star star star star starSo apparently when I was hospitalized at Northwestern Medicine earlier this year he was consulted on my case. So he already knew all about me. And when he came in to introduce himself he didn't miss a Beat in running down all of the details of my condition. Very impressive. Very nice to talk to. Seems very concerned about me and my condition. Offered me follow-up options. Great provider!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
