5.0 star star star star starDuring my initial consultation, Dr. Strauss reviewed the specifics of my case and he was prepared to discuss the options that we could employ for my situation. He was also very reassuring and explained things in a very calming manner which helped me to feel at ease which I greatly appreciated.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Strauss is soft spoken and kind, and explains step by step what will be happening during treatment. The entire situation of having cancer and needing radiation treatment is upsetting, but Dr. Strauss and his team work hard to keep me calm and comfortable, and this is greatly appreciated.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Strauss was thorough and took time to answer questions and explain process. I appreciate the information he shared - in way that was detailed and easy to understand - was consistent with what I have heard from other Dr's along the way (also appreciate repetition in case I miss some information/detail from previous conversations/appts). I missed the survey for Dr. [full name] and want to include review for her too: She was terrific. She was thorough, explained everything in detail and in a manner that was easy to understand (though thankfully I have heard this information from other doctors along the way - but good to hear again and to have consistency of information), was personable and kind. She took time to answer all my questions and concerns. I feel very fortunate to have her as my oncologist.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
