5.0 star star star star starPleased with how I have been treated and things explained in a manner that allows informed decisions to be made when they are present. Willing to try to restore full functionality of capabilities from an injury so a full recovery is possible instead of just doing a procedure that would give limited capabilities after recovery though it might be the approach that those with less experience might go with by default.

5.0 star star star star starI feel very confident about Dr. Butler. He did my previous surgery and I am planning that he is doing my next. He is kind, compassionate, professional. He is careful, thorough, attentive, listening, answers all questions. I never feel rushed or dismissed. He talks through issues, providing information in a balanced way. He has been good with surgery, follow-up, planning for future surgery, options, etc. It has been a very positive experience and I feel safe and comfortable with a choice of him as surgeon.

5.0 star star star star starFantastic bedside manner and explanation of why I am feeling as bad as Im feeling. I appreciate the time that he took to explain everything to me. Although I am a nurse, I am not familiar with ortho. Ive been feeling so bad lately, I am feeling optimistic for the first time in a long time that I will be feeling better soon.

5.0 star star star star starHe has the knowledge about my particular conditions and complications and was able to execute a plan of care for the immediate problem and also offer guidance and monitoring for the potential other problems associated with my condition. He also explained things fully and carefully and patiently, with compassion

5.0 star star star star starHe didnt have that holier than thou attitude like some doctors have. I felt as though I was a part of the plan of care, I also felt that if I had any issues between now and the next time I see him I felt very comfortable calling him as if this was not my first time meeting him but that he was my own doctor. He seemed very kind and down-to-earth, as did all the nurses and everybody I Dealt with in the office.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Butler is obviously is excellent surgeon but also displays superior patient communication skills. He explains things without talking down, answers all questions, asks and then takes patient non-medical concerns into decision making.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
