5.0 star star star star starHe is the best! Really thankful that he only made one incision instead of the originally planned two. Truly appreciate his professionalism, empathy and kindness. It makes me feel really reliable that my surgeon is Mr. Butler.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Butler saved the use of my right arm. He and his PA Katie McCrossen thoroughly explained the possible options and outcomes before the surgeries. He did not dwell on the mistakes his colleagues made but focused on the future and helping me get my life back. Dr. Butler is the best doctor I have ever encountered.

5.0 star star star star starWhen I came in for my appointment, I was impressed to learn the Dr. Butler reviewed my x-rays the day before when I was in the Emergency Department. I did not realize at the time that he was a part of the team that evaluated me while I was in the ED and determined that surgery was not emergent. And I am very grateful. At my appointment, he explained the x-Rays to me and what he would do if he were in my shoes. I appreciated that he was honest, told me my options, listened, and answered my questions.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Butler demonstrated a caring yet professional manner in working with our son and involving us in the decision making process during a very difficult time for our family. We cannot express how grateful we are for him and those he works with throughout the entire process.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
