5.0 star star star star starPatient, thorough, listened to my concerns re neck/left shoulder/shoulder blade/arm pain and will wait to hear from me in 2-3 wks. If not better, will order a cervical MRI. Answered my questions in language I understood and was very thorough in her examination of me. Did not feel rushed. A truly positive experience.

5.0 star star star star starAlexandra clearly explained the possible reasons for my condition. We discussed course of action. I am satisfied with her explanation which was done in a clear and concise way. I left feeling positive and knowing good patient care was her concern.

5.0 star star star star starThe phone visit yesterday. Her knowledge and attitude combined made me feel relaxed and that I was in good hands. The in-office was good, but the My Chart discussion was less so. Something about the scheduled phone session just really clicked and was so helpful. I felt that I was welcome to ask as many questions as I had, about anything regarding my scoliosis treatment. Alex knows her stuff and answered my questions in a professional and friendly manner. I feel more oriented now regarding the path forward than I have in years.

5.0 star star star star starAlex was very sensitive to my needs and explained what I was going to experience before, during and after my spinal surgery. She answered all my questions thoroughly in a way that I could understand. She was very serious but with a sense of humor. She made me confident that my spinal surgery would result in a great outcome.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
