5.0 star star star star starDr. Liu was great. I appreciate she actively listened and didn't dismiss my issues as me just being fat. She took me seriously. That means more to me than words can express. She actually cared enough to order tests to figure out exactly what's going on. Would be 10 if it didn't take so many months to be able to get an appointment.

5.0 star star star star starShe is fantastic. She goes above and beyond. She not only takes the time to listen, she takes things seriously while also easing fears. She really makes sure she is making the best decisions for your health and takes everything in to consideration. She is seriously the best.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Joy Liu was THE MOST understanding, open, kind doctor that I have seen at NM so far. She did not rush me, left ample time for my questions and concerns, and took time to explain to me what she thinks may be happening, went into detail about appointment structure and set-up, and also helped me understand what the procedures she was recommending are. I am autistic and adhd and more, and this was SO appreciated. I sent a message before the appointment to communicate before-hand my style of communication, and I think that helped A LOT. I left feeling extremely happy because I felt cared and listened to.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
