5.0 star star star star starafter having crohs / ulcerative colitis for 20 years and multiple hospital stays I was faced with a tough decision to have my colon removed. Doctor Halverson was amazing before the surgery. Her and her team continue to support my Stome care / needs 3 year later. they are all the best.

5.0 star star star star starListened to all of my concerns. Very intelligent, made me feel she knew what she was doing. Spent a lot of time trying to convince me to have much needed surgery. This was a surgery follow-up visit. I am healing very well.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Halverson seems very knowledgeable of colorectal treatment methods. She is also very attentive and addressed my concerns. She has ordered records from all the doctors I visited and who have performed rectal are a procedures, so perhaps there is more to come. She seems very thorough.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
