3.0 star star star star_border star_borderI’m upset about the lack of communication from Dr Halverson. I had an MRI on Thursday and do not know my plan of care because she is on vacation until Monday and didn’t make plans to get my MRI results before she left or have someone else review and talk with me. I understand people have days off. I just would expect planning ahead of time so that I am not waiting an extra 4 days to know if I need surgery again. I realize this may not be an emergency but my life has been on hold for over 8 months dealing with this and the delay impacts my life greatly.

5.0 star star star star starI trust Dr. Halverson with my life--and I already have! She explained to bith my wife and me the problems and solutions. She did the surgical repairs about six weeks ago and I am well on the road to complete recovery.

5.0 star star star star starOnly thing the Dr needs to know all patients are different from each other. I'm me and they're them. If I tell you I'm hurting, I'm hurting. I don't like for people to make me feel like I'm lying just to get medicine.

5.0 star star star star starI can't deny having an excellent outcome from my surgery influences me greatly. But in addition, Dr. Halverson keeping me informed of my condition and then my result helped to make me feel very cared for and gave me a positive outlook.

5.0 star star star star starShe has been responsive, willing to listen to concerns, and has provide clear answers to my questions regarding the conditions that may have led to my required surgeries. I have had no problems due to the those performed, which I do understand can present new issues in many cases.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderThe doctor is okay. Not the friendliest out of all the doctors I’ve met with at Northwestern. Additionally, I needed to make a follow-up appointment but the nurse was with another patient. I was told she would call me to make the appointment. I waited over a week and received no call. I called and left a message. I was told I would be called within two business days and still have not received a call.

4.0 star star star star star_borderThe practice seems very efficient and a knowledgeable staff. When I booked my appointment originally, it was a 6 month wait and I had to reschedule which then added an additional 6 months. I really wanted to see someone immediately but no one seemed to be able to refer me to anyone sooner than that.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
