Checked in and was in an exam room in under five minutes, had full set of x-rays taken and seen by Dr York within another 10 minutes. He clearly explained my situation and a primary plan of action, a timetable for a follow-up and what an alternative would be if the original plan was not working. Before leaving, I had padding put in my orthotic and learned how to apply a brace

See above. Dr. York and all of my docs at NM share the similar qualities. They listen, ask and answer questions and take the time to make sure the patient is a partner in the plan of care. In my opinion this is what medicine should be. Patient centered. Preventative in approach and corrective when needed.
