5.0 star star star star starI have seen Dr. Huston only twice, but have felt like she truly listened to me, heard my symptoms & engaged in discussion about my treatment options with me. I appreciated her time and compassion, as well as her knowledge and understanding.

5.0 star star star star starTuesday, a day after I got my antibiotics, I got a call from Jennifer. It started with "Anna I'm just now reading these messages and I'm so incredibly sorry" - she explained how she was still figuring out the practice & how the new location is ran- and she didn't expect to be the only one reviewing it (and I don't blame her, it literally says Jennifer + her team in the messages), & she says she knows how bad UTIs and she could have checked it & it was her mistake that she didn't. I've NEVER had a doctor call me to apologize for an error & take fault on their OWN time. She was genuine & I can't really describe how much that meant to me after feeling unheard throughout the entire experience. I ended up feeling really emotional because it was so kind & all I really wanted was to actually feel like a person & not some task. I told her to never change, & then the call ended. It took like 10min but I'll never forget it. That interaction & accountability made me consider requesting her for a gyno, as I don't have one yet.. but I don't know if I want to deal with the other people in the practice who let me down. Either way, please keep her. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their doctor.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
