Dr. VanHaerents is THE BEST! GREAT bedside manner! He takes the time to listen and answers all questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. He is a very knowledgeable physician. I never feel rushed when I am with him and I greatly appreciate that! He is a real asset to Northwestern Medicine!!

He was very cautious and thorough about checking me for epilepsy. He also explained things well about why I need to be checked to be sure the one time seizure was provoked or not. The only concern is that it is so hard to get an appointment with him in a timely manner. He is booked solid for long lengths of time.

Dr. VanHaerents took almost an hour and a half to talk with us and explain my results, the recommended paths, and his reasoning for those thoughts. Could‘t feel in better hands or feel more confident in my quality of care

The above mentioned but he's wonderful and pleasant l. He takes his time, asks questions, makes sure everything is addressed with each visit. He's gotten me far in reaching a stable, enjoyable quality of life. More so than I thought possible with other doctors.

I have never had a doctor care so much about my case. If it wasn’t for him, I would not be where I am today. He solved my case, has spent so much time and effort making sure I am ok physically and emotionally. I am forever grateful
