5.0 star star star star starHe makes the patients feel comfortable, easy to converse with and it is clear he is listening. I already recommended him after my first visit and will continue now that I also had a well run follow-up procedure last week.

5.0 star star star star starDr Channa Amarasekera could not be easier to talk to about any topic and he is very down to Earth. No airs of any task being beneath him because he’s an MD He takes time to talk about any concern and is clearly an expert in his field

5.0 star star star star starI had been to NM urology previously and wasn't as pleased with my service, but Dr. Amarasekera made up for the previous providers. He showed genuine concern for my issue, took the time to listen to me, allowed me to communicate what I was feeling, explained all options, and allowed me to make an informed decision. There are a lot of providers at NM that can learn from his bedside manner.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
