She is a phenomenal physician, and absolutely is the right person to handle my care. She also does all this on top of caring for her two kids, which really says a lot about her ability to maintain excellent attention at a variety of tasks.

I was a patient at the hospital, first admitted at neurology with suspicion of multiple sclerosis. Dr. Marion Stanley, in the absence of clear diagnosis, made a dramatic decision to drill a hole in my skull for analysis of inner skull fluid which showed the presence of large lymphocytes, and I was transferred to oncology division where Dr. Priya Kumthekar offered me a choice of treatment. As the result I am now considered in long-term remission.

Dr. Kumthekar is one of the most special doctors that I have ever encountered. It was clear that she had carefully reviewed my entire medical profile before our visit. Her intelligent and insightful knowledge of my rare condition was so impressive. The way in which she listened to my concerns and responded with such compassion really helped me through a difficult situation. I appreciated that she asked to share my information with her colleagues, where all could contribute to the the decision of a preferred treatment protocol. (She quickly got back to me after they met.) To have such a fine, compassionate doctor and team is a real comfort!
