5.0 star star star star starPatience is a virtue. Especially dealing with a patient who’s memory is on the fritz and is constantly asking the same questions. I appreciate the honesty and understanding of my physical AND mental health.

5.0 star star star star starDr. K is really great. I have always felt like she cares and is very knowledgeable about me and my brain cancer specifically. That is fantastic since I know she has many patients. It’s been good news for a few years. Even when it was bad news, all the doctors have been able to have that difficult conversation with me including Dr. K.

5.0 star star star star starDr. K is a wonderful doctor. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, she shows an interest in me as a person, she feels like a friend not just a doctor, she is very thorough and detailed and does as not rush me.

5.0 star star star star starDr. K was kind and decisive. She provided more valuable information in our first appointment than we’d received from our previous care team in weeks. Her nurse, Meg, is also extremely responsive to questions submitted online in the my chart program. I’ve never seen a medical office reply to anything so quickly, and given the nature of GBM, the quick response time is invaluable.

5.0 star star star star starDr. K is simply the best doctor I've ever worked with. She is incredibly wise, careful, effective in her approach, and the kindest healthcare giver I've ever met. I know she personally cares about my outcomes too. She is one of a kind.

4.0 star star star star star_borderI was surprised by how impatient she was at this visit. It was difficult for me to process my thoughts and ask questions because I felt rushed and like I was irritating her. She was so friendly on our telehealth call the week prior so it caught me off guard. I’m sure she’s a knowledgeable Onc, but the lack of patience is hard when you’re already shaken up with new cancer growth results.

5.0 star star star star starPriya is accommodating to her patients and wants to get to know them before starting treatment. She creates lists for herself to complete as well as the patient to complete and lists are helpful for me.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
