5.0 star star star star starMayumi is lovely and very professional. She listened to me patiently and created a plan that worked for me both physically and timely. I am very grateful to Mayumi and look forward to completing my PT with her.

5.0 star star star star starMayumi was excellent. During the months I was receiving PT at Northwestern I worked with four or five different PTs and all were great but I feel Mayumi's approach was the best. I really appreciated her knowledge and her point of view towards imbalances in the body. Where things were too tight and where things were too weak and explained very well how that was effecting me. On top of all that, she was pleasant to work with. I would go back to work with again her if I ever need to and I would would be happy to refer her to friends or my family.

5.0 star star star star starI really like Mayumi's approach to patients. We are talking about some intimate issues here and she has a real professional and human approach to these matters making you feel comfortable talking about your most intimate problems and issues. Once that is done, she comes up with a superb exercise program for your specific complaints. I was able to utilize these after the very first visit (a-m-a-z--i-n-g) and I saw results just after the very first visit! To me that was the most important. That my issues were understood and I was helped. If I will ever need this type of therapy (hope not, since I have a set of exercises to do now :), I will be asking for Mrs. Garcia by name, as she is really good with patients, and has a superb bedside manner and knows her stuff! I am very, very grateful. Thank you :)

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
