Great doctor. Listens to the patient and discusses the problems. He was able to see me when Dr. Guitart was not available. Recommended that I receive radiation very soon and spoke to Dr. Mittal's office to get a quick appointment.

Dr. J. Choi take sthe time to explain and consult and demonstrates a general interest in his patients - for example , by asking what they are reading and why they enjoy it and talking about what he is reading. It is very pleasant to find a physician who goes beyond the immediate medical questions. My happiest experience at MNW Medical.

This is my first time dealing with cancer. I don't feel Dr Choi has given me options to move forward on. I've been scolded for not making appointments to see the Dr. yet I was never told how often I should be seen. The Doctor will ask if I have questions.. I have concerns yet I dont know what exactly to ask. I understand that cancer has its own mind and is unpredictable. I also believe doctors should understand patients have almost no clue on how to proceed once diagnosed. I understand patients should advocate for themselves. I think the position doctors are in, knowing somewhat of what their dealing with should be better relayed to the patient.

Dr. Choi is the best. I have a complicated problem and he takes time to discuss and explain everything with me. He is also kind and sympathetic. There is a great difference in dealing with an MD who also has a PhD. He wants to find out causes...not just treat symptoms and send you on your way. I also like that he communicates with my other physicians.

Dr. Choi was in charge of my mother's diagnosis. He (and the team) went down many paths, considered possibilities beyond the obvious, before arriving at a final diagnosis. Even though my mother's condition requires urgent care, Dr. Choi took the necessary time and extra steps to be thorough, and they were unafraid to switch course and arrive at a difference conclusion from what was originally thought. Consequently, we have complete confidence in him. What is more, Dr. Choi communicates well, listens attentively, and he has shown my mother consideration and concern, which means a lot, particularly when you are seriously ill, feeble, and receiving a diagnosis.
