5.0 star star star star starPlease refer to my above statement. I have told friends about Dr Philander and highly recommended her. I think the greatest compliment one can give a Dr, is that you don't dread going to see them. I feel confident that I will receive the best possible care.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Philander was very thorough in her examination and on what I need to have done. Most important she listened very carefully to my list of questions/concerns I have about my health. Finally when I left her office I felt good about her response and the next steps I have to take.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderThis doctor doesn’t care for me. She just wants to spend my money sending me for exams after exams. She’s a waste of my time didn’t address most of my concerns. I will be searching for a new clinic & doctor. A place where I am cared for. Most horrible annual exam I’ve had in a long time. My cycles, my UTI, all she talks about is weight. My concerns weren’t addressed, I left feeling angry. I am done with this place. This doctor needs training on how to be more empathetic to her patients & stop sending me for worrying exams & scans. She had me worried sick about my liver to only find out from an expensive specialist that there’s nothing majorly wrong. Like what gives here??? She canceled my appointment because she was sick & yesterday she looked just fine. I strongly believe she doesn’t care one bit for me her patient one of the reasons she has a job for crying out loud.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Philander is excellent. She always addresses my concerns, listens to my input, and together we develop a plan in moving forward. She is intelligent and empathetic - all the things you want in your primary care doctor. I have been a patient of hers for several years and will continue to use her as my primary.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderThis was my first time meeting Dr. Philander and she seemed to rush my appointment and did not provide a warm welcome. It seemed like she only focused on one of my concerns, and I left thinking maybe I should not have gone to a different PCP from who I normally see.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Philander is very nice, listens well, and seems to care about what is going on in my life. I also appreciate having a younger physician as well since my previous physician was quite old. It seems like she is thinking ahead and going above and beyond to make sure we are healthy.

5.0 star star star star starI met Dr. Philander fur the first time and she made me feel very comfortable. My long-term physician left NW last fall and I was nervous to start over with someone new. Dr. Philander was a perfect choice for me!

5.0 star star star star starShe’s wonderful and sees me as a person. Today she told me “weight is cosmeticâ€. I have never had a doctor understand that, and i appreciated hearing that for the first time in my 24 years of life. I am a healthy person, i just have some weight on me. She understands that if bloodwork comes back saying i’m okay, then yes weight is just cosmetic. I feel comfortable here and i appreciate that more than i can describe in words.

5.0 star star star star starShe is thorough, and a great combo of personable and professional. She will acknowledge if she is not familiar with a thing. She obviously does research when she feels like she needs a better handle on an issue. Both my husband and myself feel like she is a great match for us.

5.0 star star star star starDeveloping a relationship now, somewhat slow to start. Feel confident.., but hard to get into see a doctor when you are actually sick, without going to urgent care medi centers. Last practice they had a couple of PA's that could see you right away if needed. They were great, very proficient and knowledgeable.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
