5.0 star star star star starDr Bellaguarda was amazing - she took a very thorough history, recommended a care plan to try to try to bring my condition into remission and also helped me understand other things I can do in the meantime. Her guidance was quite different from the other practice I had been going to because I couldn't get into NW gastro for many months due to the waiting list. I hope Northwestern invests in her and the training and growth of others in the practice as well. She's amazing!

5.0 star star star star starShe was great, listened to me, had great bedside manner, showed that she was interested in me as a person, showed me an image if the GI tract, explained things well, gave me options. Great overall experience. Didn't rate a 10 just because I've only met her once.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bellaguarda is very intelligent, very responsive and reassuring. Serious but occasional flashes of humor. I like and trust her, and without those two qualities, it would be difficult for me to establish any kind of relationship with her.

5.0 star star star star starI would give Dr Bellaguarda a 20 if I could. Her and her nurse Paige are absolutely amazing. She is a superb clinician... compassionate. They both have made it easier for me to navigate the complexities of my Crohn's diagnosis.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
