5.0 star star star star starDr. Janss is an extremely talented, knowledgeable and kind physician. She really takes her time to listen and offers honest and informed opinions on care options and plans. She stays on top of every detail and has been amazing at preventative measures. Nurse Jennifer is also fantastic . I have been with them both for over 20 years and highly recommend this practice to anybody who wants the best care possible in Dermatology!

4.0 star star star star star_borderI’ve had a mixed relationship w/Dr. Janss. At times in the past, I’ve felt that Dr. Janss was hurried during my visit, and that we’ve had a lack of rapport. HOWEVER, today’s visit was excellent. I felt that we had good conversation, and I have a clear sense of how to stay healthy under her care. Thanks!

4.0 star star star star star_borderShe was pleasant and really focused and into diagnosing my issue and prescribing something for relief. She works competently fast, so a couple of my minor logistical questions were kind of lost in her momentum but were answered when I checked out at registration. I can tell from her notes that I read on MyChart that she was really tuned in to everything I said, so even though she’s fast, I believe she’s thorough. If a couple of logistical questions had been answered by her before she left, then I would have given a 10 rather than 8.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderOdd bedside manner, too casual, didn’t listen well, used curse words in casual conversation, dropped an open (clean) needle on my arm prior to a procedure and punctured my skin, didn’t seem interested in my issues and didn’t seem to take my concerns seriously.

5.0 star star star star starShe is very professional yet reasonable and does not over practice. Her explanations are logical and therefore the care she recommends makes sense. I did not feel rushed. When I left I felt relieved and thankful for her help. Jennifer, her nurse, is wonderful too. What a great team.

5.0 star star star star starHer advice and direction is not cookie-cutter. I'm sure she sees all ages of people, but the advice I get is specifically for me, and my particular situation, and my age. I appreciate it. She's genuine. I think she's excellent.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderPhysician just didn’t seem to listen. She formulated her own assumption regarding my concerns. I had to correct her several times that the reason of the visit to find some answers and not seek any overnight treatment since the problem is reoccurring. After I had to present her the a point that there could be another autoimmune disease could play a potential role, she gave up and ordered the test. It was highly disturbing visit. I am also in healthcare field and I have never seen any physician displaying that kind of behavior ever.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderOur family have been patients for a long time and she is usually very attentive. This visit she was a bit rude and rushed. We didn’t get our questions answered and we felt like we were a bother to hear. She couldn’t spot to get out of room. It’s a shame as she is a good Dr.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderI felt the check was not thorough. I feel like I should have another one. My head was barely glanced at, and other parts of my body (groin area, lower buttocks, toes, feet, under breasts were not looked at.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
