5.0 star star star star starWas with my previous GI doctor for over 15 years. New insurance so I decided to see Dr. Shamsi. Wish I would have found her sooner. Her bedside manner is fantastic and she makes you feel at ease. Always smiling too!! Absolutely love her

5.0 star star star star starDr. Shamsi seemed to really care and took the time to listen and answer all of my questions. I left having a plan and feeling like I was in the right hands, which is not always the case with doctors unfortunately. She is one of a kind and I feel very lucky to have found her.

5.0 star star star star starIt was my first visit, so I do not feel entirely qualified to rate the doctor's expertise in many areas. She seemed very pleasant, knowledgeable, and willing to present a common-sense plan for me going forward.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Shamsi is totally yours during the procedure. She informs you exactly what is going to happen and the visits with you to inform the findings. She is so professional and always with a caring smile. She puts your mind at ease and I love having her in my corner.

5.0 star star star star starShe was great, listened to my long story and kept engaged and open minded. Glad I was recommended to her so I have a good local GI I feel comfortable with since I fired my last one for gross negligence and was only left with my one downtown at UofC who originally was my backup but had to make my primary after realizing my last one was not good but kept on my team as they were local. Having only the one downtown after firing my last local GI is inconvenient being so far away and they will end up becoming my backup again and Dr Shamsi my primary in due time.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
