5.0 star star star star starIt is getting harder and harder to find a physician who is patient and compassionate like Dr Milstead these days. He was far from being rushed and took enough time to listen and discuss about patients concerns.

5.0 star star star star starHe listens carefully, explains his diagnosis, gives me options and makes recommendations especially when I ask for them. I never feel rushed out the door, he has never over-prescribed meds, sends me to specialists if he feels I need them, and has a caring attitude. I trust him.

5.0 star star star star starI’ve never met a better PCP than Dr. Milstead. He is beyond excellent at the care he provides and is the definition of what it means to be in good hands. I trust him with my life and feel safe knowing he is on my care team. He is by far the best doctor at NMH. I could write essays on how wonderful Dr. Milstead is. He diagnosed a very difficult to diagnose condition that I had - a diagnosis other NMH Internal Medicine doctors could not.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
