5.0 star star star star starMore than advising, Danette listens and observes. I am lazy and reluctant to do the work needed to rehabilitate from my injury. Danette was able to adapt exercises for me that I was willing to incorporate and use. I'm still a reluctant patient, but Danette got me to reach my rehabs goals.

5.0 star star star star starShe is very thoughtful and responsive in regards to my therapy. It is obvious that she has put thought into tailoring exercises to my needs. Today she gave me exercises she recently researched. I feel they week be very helpful in stretching and strengthening my wrist and actually alleviated pain upon completion. She is extremely personable and relates to me as a person as well as a patient.

5.0 star star star star starDanette demonstrated expert knowledge and high competency as an OT. Each week at my therapy sessions she clearly explained new exercises for me to practice daily at home. She carefully watched my form, patiently guided me, answered my questions, and corrected me as needed, which enabled me to get the most out of my practice. Each week she asked me about my progress at home, what activities still presented difficulty, what activities showed improvement, and then tailored my rehab and exercises to address my specific needs and goals. I was very physically active before fracturing my wrist and was concerned about my ability to resume my old workout routines. I am ecstatic to say that Danette expertly guided me on the road to achieve my recovery goals. My therapy has ended, and full recovery back to my pre-fracture workouts will take a bit of time, as to be expected, but I am confident that Danette provided me with the best toolbox of routines to continue on my own. I am happy to report that I still do daily exercises. In addition, Danette was a pleasure to work with during our therapy sessions. She kept me motivated to try my hardest at our therapy sessions, which also motivated me to diligently practice at home.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
