5.0 star star star star starHe and his nurse understood the urgency of the issue. They worked with me to expedite an appointment as best they could. Dr Xu spent time explaining the issue and was not rushed. The procedure required was scheduled within 4 days. He was empathetic to the situation.

5.0 star star star star starHe is extremely talented. He again took the time to make me comfortable. I personally felt that I had known him a very long time. His bedside manner was very pleasant and I never felt that I was just a number. In my opinion, Doctor Xu was amazing. I would highly recommend him.

5.0 star star star star starSee above. I highly recommend him. He communicates well. He is calm. He did an excellent job with my Holep surgery and kidney stone/stent removal. He bent over backwards to accelerate the date of surgery. He has given me my life back. I am very pleased with the outcome and very grateful

5.0 star star star star starDr. Xu had reviewed my prior medical history. He was totally prepared. He had excellent communication skills and explained everything clearly. He also had a good understanding of my point of view when I explained why I didn't want overly aggressive medical care in certain areas. My medical conditions (including advanced cancer) are complex, involve multiple different types of doctors at Northwestern, and require coordination of care and prioritizing the most important health issues.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Xu listened! This is such an important skill for doctors. He's clearly highly skilled and that is very reassuring to me. This situation is anxiety producing. I felt that Dr. Xu was responsive and that he made every effort to reduce my anxiety through information and reassurance. I know he will remain sensitive to my anxiety and do whatever he can to allay my fears.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
