5.0 star star star star starHe was a very calm and professional doctor who explained everything to me in great detail and showed me the x ray images as to what happened with my foot. I was very nervous walking into the office, but by the time I was done with the whole process, they made me feel assured that this will be okay.

5.0 star star star star starHe is amazing. From my first visit he had gone over everything in such great detail, that I have no doubt at all that he is the exact Doctor I needed for this surgery. I knew everything that was going to happen including different paths my surgery and recovery could have taken.

5.0 star star star star starMy doctor made me go see him--a specialist for what she thought was a foot injury--it was a CORN! Embarrassing! But he just took care of it, solved my problem and sent me home with my problem solved!

5.0 star star star star starHe patiently listened to my symptoms and past experiences with them and was very open to discussion about treatments. He explained his diagnosis and was clear about what I can expect. I appreciate his candor.

5.0 star star star star starP.. Witkowski clearly reviewed my MRI before the office visit. He was familiar with the possibilities for treatment/surgery. He explained concisely the options and recommended what was reasonable and best for my situation. I left this visit feeling confident in his recommendations. His professional manner was efficient while still being personable. I would certainly recommend him to anyone needing this type of specialty. I am a retired 32 year hospital employee (not NW) by the way and recognize great skills.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderMy surgical results are good. Beyond that, his bedside manner is less than friendly and he does not seem patient with questions. A friend seeking a surgeon for similar work asked me about this practice. My response was that my surgery (2 hrs) experience was good, but everything else (follow up, questions, office visits, overall concern & care) is not good there so would not recommend.

5.0 star star star star starHe knows everything about his area of practice. My first visit included X-rays of my foot, done adjacent to my exam room. They were available within minutes and the Dr. explained everything possible, with his recommendations for procedure. CT scans were needed for this last pre-op. visit and Dr. Witkowski went over them with me in detail. He then answered all of my questions in depth to help me make my decision regarding surgery.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
